All I can say about the problem of ‘background’ is that I don’t recall it being discussed back then but I came into this group some time after its formation , & more towards the finalisation of its conclusions.
What I would say additionally, is that the membership of this large group of 22 was quite diverse and therefore encompassed a rage of viewpoints from the more critical of the whole of virology to the more conventional, from people who were truly independent scientists to others who were somehow ‘invested’ in the game or the prevailing academic view of the ‘science’. I remember thinking at the time that it was something of an achievement that a group like this could even manage to agree on the conclusions that it did, the main one being that the test as designed could not reliably detect the target ‘sequence’. So it was useless as a measure of ‘spread’ and should never have been published. Much in the process of getting to that agreement probably has to be attributed to the tireless work at that time of ‘Bobby’ Malhotra, leader of the group.
But we anyway know now that there is no evidence for ‘spread’ from the mortality data so surely that is the most promising way of attacking the ‘pandemic preparedness industrial complex’ with its supporters like Dr Malone.

One argument that holds me back are clinical reports and experiences, which prove that ivermectine and HCQ are effective against "Covid". Or was it a flu variant, also sensitive for these medicines?? but if there is proof of spike protein causing all the blood clotting problems, was it then a natural coronavirus mutation (with that strange cleavage mutation, or is there also no proof for it if Jay is right)? And what about the - unique? - lesions found by respected pathologists?

i worked 7 years, they used to pass a cloth through the mouth of the first affected animals, and then pass it through the whole herd, to accelerate the disease, and with it also the recovery. When I ask NOvirus people to explain this, they say that it is not their task.

Including the data on Yan, who, Couey suspects, was presented to him to get him off of his „background“ and join the „Lab Leak“.
